Each class focuses on a different critical area of personal defense, blending practical curriculum with hands-on drills and scenarios.
Week 1: Introduction to Personal Defense
Build your foundation. Learn why every second matters in an attack — and how to make them count.

- Critical decision-making under pressure
- Basic striking and grappling techniques
- Handcuff escape tactics
- Real-world simulation drills
Week 2: Situational Awareness and Threat Detection
Train your mind to see what others miss. This class builds your observation and decision-making skills in public environments.
Key Topics Covered:
- The “Color Code” system of awareness
- Guided walkthroughs in public spaces with instructor observation
- Demographic threat recognition exercises
- SIRT laser gun room scanning
- Threat identification testing and end-of-session debrief
Week 3: Firearms Fundamentals – From Home Defense to Live Drills
Take your self-defense training to the next level with structured, progressive firearms instruction.
Key Topics Covered:
- Core principles of home defense
- Drawing from concealment and reloading using SIRT laser training guns
- Live-fire drills under instructor supervision
- Post-training review and debrief
Week 4: Pistol Permit Certification
Complete your pistol permit training with a comprehensive, state-recognized class held on the last Saturday of each month from 8:00am – 3:00pm.

Ongoing Training Opportunities
The mini-class series follows a consistent monthly schedule, making it easy to join at any time and continue reinforcing your skills.
Disclaimer For Pistol Class & Martial Arts Lesson Registrants: For Pistol Class, class portion will be held at 144 Broad Street in Windsor, CT. Please note, our live fire portion will be held the following week Monday through Wednesday after 4pm (no later than 4:30pm) at 9 Tolles Street in West Hartford, CT. I can also do Saturday at 3:30pm at the same location, however, I will be limited to one person that day.
Upon attending class, you will be asked to provide me with your name and email address you used when signing up for the class initially. This is especially important for Pistol Class. The first payment of half of the cost of any service is due upon registration and the remainder will be due upon completion of the course.
If you do not show up for class without 48 hours notice of not being able to attend, your initial payment will be forfeited.
